Meet the Management Team
We are delighted that you are interested in learning about MorningLight School. Perhaps the best way to begin to get to know MorningLight School is to examine the promises and commitments expressed in our mission statement, “Our Idea of Lifelong Learner,” for there, you find the best, most succinct expression of the distinctive vision that governs our operations and our aspirations.
Head of School Welcome
It is a great honor to have the opportunity to grow together with our students and parents at MorningLight School. It is a place of warmth, energy, love, and wisdom. Our goal is to help our parents take education to the next level with Morning Light.
MorningLight School has a proud team of teachers who are caring, responsible, and professional. The teacher here is not only an educator but also a coach and advisor. Our job is not only to impart knowledge, but also to impart wisdom, and to observe and guide children to discover their natural potential.
While our mission statement serves as a wonderful window into our educational aspirations, the best way to get a sense of the place is to meet our students and teachers.
What, then, we train our students to gradually become self-directors of learning: with clear learning goals, excellent learning habits and attitudes, fearless of adversity, and brave to take responsibility. We create an environment for our students to challenge themselves and strive for excellence in their learning.
Unsurprisingly, our mission statement begins by directing your attention to them and to the remarkable relationships they build inside as well as beyond our classrooms: “The conversation between student, parents, and teacher is the heart of our school; all that we do must be born of and nourish that relationship.” We welcome you to the centuries-old and ever-new humane conversation that is MorningLight School.
Gratefully,
Shirley Lin
